Based on the education system we see in singapore, will we ever win a olympic medal? As u realised, people in other countries started training sports seriously below the age of 10. But do you think it’ll happen in Singapore? Will parents take the risk to allow their children to take sports as a life time career? That would mean the amount of time spend studying a day to just a mere few hours? My answer would be no. A true blue singaporean would never ever win a medal based on the education system. Its all about paper chase in Singapore. Just sharing my 2 cents worth

That is why sport school si setup but u need to give them time cos they are still young... Give them another 5 years and if no result produce then sport school will be a failure.

We cant, brazil people can dont study play soccer. China people hardcore sports. We seriously cannot, why do you think the 5C's exist? to keep us busy, and we are all rat racers

how old do the kids start training sports at sports sch? 12? that abit too old but still possible.. and males have to go thru 2 yrs of NS... training will get disrupted... to me sports sch is just for show... what singapore is gd at is when we dun have the "resources" just buy... tmr table tennis finals is china vs china (singapore)... the table tennis head coach in singapore is also from china too..

Tan Howe Liang is a Singaporean who played sports.
The PRC imports played sports to be Singaporean. Thats the difference
. Few Singaporean feel proud about one of

beckham is playing for a CLUB, not the USA. he is there to promote soccer to unappreciative americans. Yao Ming is the vehicle for the nba to crack the 1b chinese market.
when liverpool buy torres, it is a club business nothing to do with country.
