Yes, I believe Hitler was born Catholic although he
obviously wasn't a very good or pious one, seeing how he persecuted
and put Catholic priests to death when he was in power (as
well as Jews, Gypsies and whoever else he did not like).
Your point for raising this ?

Originally posted by Creation1656:

i know there is a G-d, Adonai Elohim, Blessed king of the
universe , who sustain both believers n unbelievers till
the end of the age. Hashem will not sent believers n
unbelievers to eternal hell even if they sin against him.
Judaism concept of afterlife is totally different from the pagan
beliefs of eternal hell.

Adonai Elohim is truly a great n just King of the
Universe, full of grace, peace n love. Unlike some other pagan
gods who sent unbelievers to eternal hell.

First of all there is only 1 God for all the people. One. That's
why the fate of all living people no matter what religion they are
now is the same.

To say that other pagan Gods send unbelievers to hell is not
logical because What other pagan Gods?

Read your torah well if your religion is Judaism. Read what Job
said about death. read David psalms or if you have it Solomon
writings. They are truly wise and knowlegeable when it comes to the
concept of death.

And what happen if you live a life of insult to this truly great
King of the universe? Death. The second death. You are not a
believer of Judaism because they believe in the second death
that is the other word for hell.

Originally posted by Servant:

A big hello to everyone as it is my first time here on this
forum, nice to meet all of you. Been reading the happenings
here for a while, and I thought now is a good a time as any
to finally say something

lp, I guess most would agree that He is a God of
mercy and justice. To focus on the justice bit, we mere humans will
never be able to understand in human logic the
justice that God intends for us at the end of our time (just as
we will never be able to comprehend His immense love for
us). As He chooses to pay the workers who works in his
vineyard the same amount regardless of what time they report for
work (meaning it's never too late to turn back to Him), we
won't be able to 'measure' our sins in human logical terms. Only
God has the wisdom and power to do so. Do we even know for sure
that Hitler and other infamous personalities are in hell now?

He does not 'cure' our souls by burning them in Hell's fire.
While we were created in His own likeness with love, our fallen
nature (through the sins of Adam and Eve) allows us to be tempted
by the devil, and this is where we make our choice to follow God or
forget about Him.

And the bad news is that hell is for all eternity, unless
you are talking about the temporal aspect of Purgatory.

Let us not try not to 'box' God into a corner
in our logical and human minds, that more often than not let
us down in our pursuit of Christian goodness.

May the grace, peace and love of God be upon you

Graceful must have come from good environment, education and
most importantly good genes. It's been awhile since the last time
someone wrote like this.

I'm listening to you Ipirate. I seek God. What do you want to
talk about.

SGforum is notorious for its rude and sarcastic people. They
come in abundant numbers.

most of the time why waste typing the letters because somehow they
don't listen. Just carry on.

On morality replied by 24/7 @ Fri, 21 Nov 2008 01:37:43 +0800

Hi domon,

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about the demon attack, but glad u
made it with ur faith still intact.

does it not make it contradict so many other verses tat says no
man see God yet live idea??

Correct. Exactly what I'm saying. So question then is, Jacob
said he had seen God face to face (Gen 32:30) wrestled but didnt
die, Abraham saw God but didn't die. So who was the person
that Abraham was talking to? I contend that it was God taking on
human form for a while, it was God the Son.

doesnt it makes more sense that they actually were more symbolic
n in the case of abraham, saw 3 angels who then went on to Lot?

and you can't say it's symbolic because Abraham clearly calls
him 'adonai', meaning Lord, means he understood who that guest
really was. Genesis 18:1, "the LORD appeared..." Hebrew, this meant
YHWH (u can look up Strong's Hebrew)- appeared to Abraham. He was
present! Would Abraham be so bold as to call angels a name reserved
only for God? So no, those 3 cannot be all angels.

Actually, only 2 angels went on to Lot. In Gen 18:33, the LORD
left. In fact, in Gen 19:2, Lot addressed the remaining 2 angels as
"my lords" translated adoni.

Out of the 3 persons that Abraham saw, one of them was clearly
God. It cannot be mere angels because Abraham called one of them
YHWH. But recall that God doesn't contradict himself, e.g. let
humans see him and yet live, so that person he saw must be God who
came in human form - God the Son.

will u choose to confuse readers what kind of a person u are??or
explain clearly what u are??is not the bible a biography of
God too??if trinity stands??should he not therefore in his loving
kindness tell his, " hey look yo, im not jus 1 God, but there are 3
sides of me.."

the bible is a revelation of God, tells us who He is (enough for
us to believe unto Him). And the bible did reveal Him as
trinity - early church understood that Jesus was God
(Phil 2:5-11), Paul recognized Jesus as God (Titus 2:9). There are
also other attributes of God that are reliably deduced from
Scripture but the specific terms were not used within it (e.g.
omniscient, omnipresent). There's nothing wrong with the
trinitarian understanding, it's not pagan, it's not unbiblical.
Faithful Christians were just deducing from the bible what God
is.

much easier if we were talkin instead of typin.

pls exclude the other unnecessary details then. But forgive me
this... pls explain about "How then does worship look
like?" How was God worshipped in the bible? not just by giving
"a loud praise" right? other wise i would have worshipped many
people already.

Are any here looking for God?

If our definition of God is the same, then no. Nobody seeks God,
according to Romans 3. In fact, even if truth is recognized, it's
being suppressed (Romans 1:18-19).

God.

It is possible that preach could have been added to the above
but I thought it unnecessary.

In my journey through forums of this type, I have seen many
defend their various positions with varied skill and seen debates
go nowhere. I did see one person of the hundreds of whom I track
actually change his mind on an issue.

If none of us come here to have our mind changed then why
bother?

It occurred to me that perhaps, the underlying motivation of all
here, in this tower of babble, where all listen but none hear, that
we were all questioning our own thinking and that we were all
searching for a new God. Or at best here, a Name to follow.

It calls the question, Are any here looking for God?

Regards

Originally posted by Rafeash:

Bored, I suggest you take a look too around the world. You will
find many "disco" churches around, if I could use your terms. It
does not feel like a church to you, but then again, your
feelings are ultimately a matter of perspectives, no
distinct right or wrong. Yea?
In your earlier post you mentioned city harvest preaches a
distorted version of the bible. So, what is this distorted version
of the bible? Care to share with us? You quoted well with your
verses. But do also remember, anyone can read verses and subject
themselves to their own perceptions of it. The important thing to
note is we are at peace in God with our perceptions, and that these
same perceptions are in line with the commandments of God.

HyperionDCZ, based on your comment, I really think you have an
issue with CHC. I would wonder if it was antagonism or based on
pure facts. No one adapts to any church just like that. It is
important to find your own church, one whom you can flow with God's
vision for it, and remain rooted in it. Devotion is not based on
the type of church you are placed in. Devotion first comes from the
heart, then in the commitment towards the church you are
comfortable in. -.-"'

Creation1656, you are another person who can quote really well.
Unfortunately I have to disagree with your views on Tithe. Yes, the
purpose of "tithe" mentioned in Leviticus (or Malachi
since you did not state clearly) may, according to you,
may be for temple worship. However, please also find that the word
tithe, is mentioned in the bible as early as Genesis in 14:20,
where King Melchizedek gave, directly to Abram, a "tithe of all".
And, btw, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tithe for its
definition too. Even a "secular" "dictionary" could understand how
tithes come about. So, I find it difficult to believe that
"tithes", are reserved for temple worship only. And, btw, we are
living in the 21st century, not in the OT leh. God's word is the
same yesterday, today and tomorrow. So, I find it difficult to
understand also, your stand that we need to know the true meaning
of tithing. Further, you quoted Levi and referred to its context.
But, I feel you also need to see it in context of today's world la.
And, a small point, but why do you keep referring God with Hashem.
Is your revelation of God only Hashem that you find it difficult to
use "God" instead? Sorry, I just find that typing 3 letters seem
simpler. Heh.

i know there is a G-d, Adonai Elohim, Blessed king of the
universe , who sustain both believers n unbelievers till
the end of the age.

Originally posted by Rafeash:

However, please also find that the word tithe, is mentioned in
the bible as early as Genesis in 14:20, where King Melchizedek
gave, directly to Abram, a "tithe of all".

Hi Rafeash, since u brought up Genesis 14:20, i would like
to give u a cut n paste answer from this christian
website:

http://www.tithingdebate.com/DeJongRebuttal.html

KELLY: DeJong is placing words into Abraham’s mouth which are
not found in Scripture. From my essay:

For the
following reasons, Genesis 14:20 cannot be used as an example for
Christians to tithe. (1) The Bible does not say that Abraham
"freely" gave this tithe. (2) Abraham’s gift was NOT a holy tithe
from God’s holy land gathered by God’s holy people under God’s holy
Old Covenant. (3) Abraham’s tithe was only from pagan spoils of war
common to many nations. (4) In Numbers 31, God only required 1% of
spoils of war. (5) Abraham’s tithe to Melchizedek was a one-time
recorded event. (6) Abraham’s tithe was not from his own personal
property. (7) Abraham kept nothing for himself; he gave everything
back. (8) Abraham’s tithe is not quoted anywhere in the Bible to
endorse tithing. (9) Genesis 14, verse 21, is the key text. Since
most commentaries explain verse 21 as an example of pagan Arab
tradition, it is contradictory to explain the 90% of verse 21 as
pagan, while insisting that the 10% of verse 20 was God’s will.
(10) If Abraham is an example for Christians to give 10% to God,
then he should also be an example for Christians to give the other
90% to Satan, or to the king of Sodom! (11) Since neither Abraham
nor Jacob had a Levitical priesthood to support, they had no place
to bring tithes and probably left food for the poor at their
altars.

And, a
small point, but why do you keep referring God with Hashem. Is your
revelation of God only Hashem that you find it difficult to use
"God" instead? Sorry, I just find that typing 3 letters seem
simpler. Heh.

We refers to G-d as Hashem cos we dun want to
transgress Hashem commandment:

'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain,
for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in
vain. Deu 5:11 (NASB).

hey, guys, if you have not yet to grasp the facts in the bible
of who Jesus is during his earthly ministry then don't use any of
it.

Jesus is the Son of God, (everyone who believe knows) But Jesus
was a carpenter before his ministry got started. at that point of
time, carpentry is considered as one of the professional jobs if
brought into modern context. Seamless was His robe that he wore,
and if the robe is not precious or expensive, why would the roman
soldiers cast lot over it?

all of his disciples were rich men, fishermens, unlike now, they
were professionals. and same goes to the rest. when Jesus told the
disciples to feed the congregation or the crowd of thousands, have
he thought of it" will they have the money to pay for it?", No, He
just gave the orders to do so. because he knew that they have the
money to do so.

Our God is heaven is El Shaddai, God of all sufficiency, or
simple said, God of more than enough. He is never El "Cheapo". so
Don't you dare go around and claim that christian should be poor or
living a just enough lifestyle. if Abraham have so much of property
and herds that he cannot stay in the same land as his nephew Lot,
then we of the modern world of today should use all our creativity
to think of being the "head and not the tail" being a leader in the
society now! instead of whinning or mocking at something that you
will never get to establish, why not do something constructive to
your future and for your children and your children's children.

and if you claim that christian's should not want to have
material wealth, then tommorrow, first thing in the morning, go
sell your every thing and give everything away and try to live a
non material life.. i can say not even 3 days you will not be able
to take it. in this material world, you want to say something, you
got to be a someone in your net worth, only then people want to
listen.

understand the facts and the reality of this broken world now!
open your eyes to see now.

and don't verbally abuse the church, when you don't see the real
things happening.

correct me if im wrong.....there was a rich ass who loved wat jc
teached...n went on toblock jc passage to ask him wat cld be done
to get his ass in paradise..jc ask him to sell all his stuff n
donate it away...hmm...

n u made jc sounds like he only mingle with rich
professionals...take into consideration economy 2000++ years ago is
very different den nw too..

Complaint from little sinner in HELL. replied by Servant @ Thu, 20 Nov 2008 15:43:01 +0800

May the grace, peace and love of God be upon you <img src=

Part II,

Don't quite understand this part.

There will always be false teachings
within the flock. BUT what i was saying is, even more so during the
end times. And i do commend the JWs for their discipline. But what
was suppressed wasn't JWs, it was the Arians. And those who
suppressed them were godly men NOT governments (in fact, in some
countries, they're flourishing!). However, it has usually been
godly men who refute heresies (Arianism) through biblical
councils and conventions.

Trinity is NOT like hinduism. Even Hindus acknoweldge that the
Christian Trinity bears any resemblance at all (refer to my
previous post), so i don't think you should compare it like that.
In fact, Jesus isnt an "aspect" of God. Jesus is God. Not God the
Father but God the Son. I refer back to the diagram above for
explanation.

was because u asked why didnt those people who worshipped Jesus
as God build statues for Him in temples. So i asked u in return,
which church would build a statue of God in the first place?

Actually, that would be worshipping me. Think about our modern
term "idol worship" and picture crazed fans screaming and jumping
at the feet of rock bands and musicians.

How then does worship look like?

U said to determine the act of worship through the
"action and heart". So if in this case, it's still
not considered worship, then can you tell me how was God worshipped
in the Bible? Surely not by just giving "a loud praise"
right? If so, i would have "worshipped" a lot of people already.
=)

again, each person is fully God but they're not God. Diagram
would help.

except that it's not that 1 perfect human's sin Jesus came for,
but for multitudes. And anyway, cannot measure it like that. One
needs to satisfy God's wrath. Sin is sin. He cannot tolerate any
sin at all. Either all or nothing. Don't think there would be an
overkill if God the Son was the propitiation for our sins.

much easier if we were talkin instead of typin.

Originally posted by 24/7:

Hi domon,

Good to know that our discussion hasnt fallen through and we're
still having a civil discussion of our differences. Kudos to u for
that. =) Just some thoughts on certain issues u raised up.

No, of course not. Even believers now cannot fully understand
it. I don't know who are those Catholic scholars u quoted, but the
scholars that i've read also say that the Trinity remains a
mystery, BUT they choose to subscribe to the revelation of
Scripture, and teach what it says.

God is certainly not a God of confusion but Deut 29:29 also says
that the secret things belong to Him, and Isaiah 55 tells us His
ways are higher than ours, and that there is no One like Him, and
there is nothing to which He can be compared. Furthermore, wouldn't
you agree that there are certain things that God chooses not to
reveal to us? Or as some might say, God has revealed it, but its us
Man who are just too damn dull to understand / perceive it?

If this is the way He chose to reveal Himself to us, that's what
we've to live with and not impose our man-made conceptions on what
God should be like.

Certainly, one doesnt need to be a theologian to understand the
Trinity, its the duty of the overseers and the older in faith to
teach us that doctrine and help us to understand it. But for the
Holy Spirit to illuminate our understanding. Indeed, God did want
us to have a relationship with Him, thus sending Jesus to us (e.g.
His self-knowledge: "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father")
and Immanuel ("God with us", Matt 1:23). As Exodus 33:20 tells us,
nobody can see God and live, but in Genesis 18, we see Abraham
survived, so did Jacob in Genesis 32 and even wrestled! This can
only make sense in the affirmation of John 1:18, which said,
"No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at
the Father's side has made him known."

That said, I find this diagram quite useful to understand the Trinity.

When theologians refer to the Trinity as a mystery, it's
to say that they cannot adequately explain how God can be one, yet
co-existing in 3 different persons. It's not a 3 in 1 kind of
equation, but more like infinity + infinity + infinity = infinity.
Can there be 3(infinity)? And i'm sure someone out there can find a
flaw in this illustration, but hey, i tried.

sory it took me eons to reply..had wat i would called a demon
attack...the few verses and examples like abraham who survived
seeing God..does it not make it contradict so many other verses tat
says no man see God yet live idea??n why does man dies upon seeing
God? is it not sin that causes man to perish in God's Holiness?so
then how can sinful men lik abraham see God Physically yet lived?
so then, doesnt it makes more sense that they actually were more
symbolic n in the case of abraham, saw 3 angels who then went on to
Lot?

likewise..when u write a biography about urself..will u choose
to confuse readers what kind of a person u are??or explain clearly
what u are??is not the bible a biography of God too??if
trinity stands??should he not therefore in his loving kindness tell
his, " hey look yo, im not jus 1 God, but there are 3 sides of
me.." u get my drift =)

im really glad we are havin this kind of adult discussion where
no over passion n irrationality takes place.

as for the rest of others' debate..isnt tat damn hitler a
catholic???WW1 n WW2 started bcuz the few cath sects were
prostituting themselves for political power isnt it?
